Hammond Ellis Whiting

About the Artist

Ham Whiting is a Midwest-based ceramic artist whose practice is guided by alchemy—the transformation of the ordinary into the extraordinary. Working at the intersection of ceramics, illustration, and material research, he incorporates foraged materials such as wild clay, wood ash, and cicada ash into his glazes. Rooted in his identity as a practicing Pagan, his work draws on local flora, fauna, and symbolic mark-making to explore ritual, ecology, and the quiet magic embedded in the natural world.
